In this year's iteration of Halloweek, the halls of Sentinel were turned into a blur of music, laughter, and the occasional scream. Organized by the student council, this week brought both students and teachers through events that ranged from lighthearted to downright scary! Halloweek ran from Monday through Friday and each event offered something unique that students could look forward to.

Halloweek started off with karaoke during lunch. Within minutes, the gym was packed. Mina's party lights set the tone for the lively and high energy atmosphere that was carried through the event. Dozens of students stepped up to sing, some taking on emotional ballads while others going for upbeat pop hits that got the crowd singing along. It didn't matter the song or student – the crowd cheered with passion for each and every song.

A highlight of the event was when Mr. Huh surprised everyone with an impromptu performance of "Birds of a Feather" by Billie Eilish. As he serenaded students with his voice, they instinctively turned on their phone flashlights, waving them in the air like a concert crowd. The room began to glow with hundreds of small lights and, for a few minutes, it felt less like a school event and more like a live performance.

By midweek, the focus shifted from singing to sculpting, where we had the annual Pumpkin Contest. The tables outside the cafeteria were turned into a mini art gallery with dozens of creative and funny pumpkins on display.

On Thursday, things took a spooky turn. What started that morning as an empty classroom slowly transformed into something straight out of a nightmare. From fake cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, eerie music quietly playing in the black, and live actors jumping out to scare students, Sentinel's very own haunted house turned into a classroom full of horror.

The final day of Halloweek featured a costume contest where contestants showed up as everything from Spider-Man to the entire Minion cast. Featuring teacher judges and loud cheers from the crowd, the event brought out some of the most creative looks of the week. Some groups arrived in themed outfits, while others showed off detailed handmade designs that looked like it came straight from a movie set.

Each day of Halloweek had something different to offer from karaoke and pumpkin decorating to haunted rooms and costume contests. Every event brought out a different kind of energy, and together they made the week feel exciting from start to finish. This week was full of spookiness but was also a great reminder of how much creativity and spirit Spartans can have.
