With the winter holidays coming up, Sentinel has been feeling festive! Here’s a recap of all the fun school events this past week, featuring Hollyweek, the Winter Market, music performances, and more!
Monday
On the first day of Hollyweek, my true love gave to me, Santa giving out candy…
Special shoutout to Mr. Gibson for dressing up as Santa!
Tuesday
Tuesday was the official last day of Xmas gram sales, but in an unexpected turn of events, the Xmas grams sold out!
Wednesday
Speaking of Xmas grams… Wednesday was the first day of deliveries! A big thank you to our RnB singers and everyone who brought joy and laughter during the delivery of Xmas grams!
The Winter Market, hosted by Sentinel’s Marketing Class, was also hosted during lunch! Hopefully, you got a chance to look at all the amazing items available for sale!
And who could forget about the Winter Concert! After a long year, the Sentinel Music program was finally able to put on an in-person concert featuring the Grade 8 Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and the RnB Band.

Thursday
On the fourth day of Hollyweek, students were able to get polaroid or digital photos with Santa in the library! Thanks again to Mr. Gibson for being Santa! Here’s a picture with the Student Council volunteer team:
Thursday was also the last day of the Pajama Drive, an annual school-wide event where Sentinel students donate to provide each of the kids at Admiral Seymour Elementary with a new pair of pajamas. To raise funds for the drive, Sentinel’s marketing students hosted a bingo! Congratulations to room 355 on winning.
Friday
On the last day of school, the Student Council hosted a pancake breakfast! Special thanks to all the wonderful student volunteers who made this possible. Students also wore festive Christmas clothing to get into the winter holidays!
Huge morning line for pancakes!
