Clubs day was on October 3, where we got to see all the amazing clubs Sentinel has to offer. New members are welcome to join! There are so many benefits to joining a school club...here are the top 4 reasons to join one.
1. It’s a great way to make new friends
Joining a school club gives you the opportunity to meet new people who have similar interests with you. You get to make new friends from different grades and it’ll be easy to strike up a conversation since you already have a similar interest.
2. Develop your interests...and find new ones!
Love gardening? Join the gardening gurus! Always wanted to try photography but didn’t know how? Join the photography club! Whether you already know your passions or want to find new ones, Sentinel has over 40 clubs spanning a huge variety of activities...join a club that matches your interests and passions. Then, over the school year, you have the opportunity to do activities, projects and get involved with something that you really like. Who knows, maybe your interest in a certain school club could help you decide your future career!
3. You learn life skills
Joining a club is a great way to develop skills that are useful for life. Skills such as time management, team work, communication, problem - solving, event planning and leadership are all skills learned in school clubs.
4. It’s fun!
Getting to meet new people and work on something you like will make your experience as a Sentinel student more engaging. You will feel a huge sense of pride as you accomplish your goals as a club and get to be a part of something bigger than yourself. It’s also a great way to de-stress and relax!
